Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP)

What is TAP?

The Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) can help eligible UK businesses to take part in overseas exhibitions.

Who is it run by?

TAP is run by UK Trade & Investment.

Who is it aimed at?

New exporters who need assistance in using exhibitions as a key tool in their trade development plans. The central principal of the programme is that is should make something happen that would not happen otherwise.

What are the benefits?

UK Trade & Investment will, at its discretion, provide support for businesses taking part in overseas exhibitions. Eligible businesses are new to export SMEs who meet the required criteria. From 1 April 2009 businesses can apply for a maximum of six grants (prior to this date the maximum was three) to participate in trade fairs in their company’s lifetime, with the proviso that the trade shows are in more than one market. Grants of £1,000, £1,400 and £1,800 are available.

How much does it cost?

Companies wishing to take advantage of the programme would need to pay any additional charges for exhibiting (over the grant amount).

How do I get involved?

A TAP application form is available on the UK Trade & Investment website. Alternatively, use the contact details below to find out more.
