Trade mission to emerging Gulf markets

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) invites regional companies to join a trade mission to Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Following three highly successful missions to Saudi and Bahrain in 2007 and 2009, and as part of a programme of regular trade missions to the region, UKTI Yorkshire & Humber will lead this fourth mission to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The mission is aimed at all British companies wishing to access new market opportunities in these emerging Gulf markets.

Last year exports to the Gulf States increased to a record level of £9 billion. With a real GDP growth for the region forecast to grow at 3.5% this year, the Gulf is an engine for growth.

There are opportunities in a number of sectors in both markets, including in the oil & gas, power, water, education and financial sectors.

The mission package will include several benefits including travel and accommodation, networking receptions, market research, expert assistance and the opportunity to visit Riyadh if required.

Funding of 40% of the cost, to a maximum of £1,100, is available to eligible companies in the Yorkshire region. Companies commissioning an OMIS report (which is highly recommended) will receive funding of 50%.
