Sporting mission to Russia

Yorkshire & Humber companies with experience in major sporting events are invited to join a mission to Russia in advance of the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 2013 World University Games.

The Winter Olympics will take place in Sochi and the University Games will take place in Kazan. The mission will incorporate a seminar in Moscow which will discuss the business opportunities related to these events.

British Expertise is organising the mission on behalf of UK Trade & Investment and invites companies to join the mission and speak at the seminar.

Topics at the seminar will include: design and construction of stadia, event & venue overlay including temporary facilities, support infrastructure, legacy planning, security & crisis management, media equipment & services, branding & signage and hospitality & catering.

In addition to the high-level seminar in Moscow, the programme will include stadium visits, group meetings in both Moscow and Kazan and an official Embassy Reception.

The mission will take place from 8-12 March 2010.

Funded flights provided by British Airways are available subject to restrictions and availability.
