South Korea – Open for Business

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is delighted to invite you to attend a business development seminar focussing on the opportunities of doing business in South Korea.

South Korea is home to 50 million people and is the world's 13th largest economy. The EU-South Korea Free Trade Agreement, estimated to be worth up to 19bn Euros for EU exporters, will liberalise goods tariffs and open up new business opportunities in areas including services, public procurement, intellectual property and sustainable development – and analysis suggests the UK could benefit by up to £500m.

Companies will have an opportunity to:

  • Hear about new business opportunities from business leaders and UKTI experts ahead of the new free trade agreement with South Korea
  • Learn practical ways of achieving commercial success within this market
  • Discuss how your business can benefit with dedicated market experts
  • Network with 50 attendees from within business and government
  • Receive a free copy of UKTI’s business friendly, practical guide to opportunities in South Korea for UK companies – to be launched at the event
  • Have a one to one meeting with in-market commercial officers, Ms Mikie Park, Trade Manager (Design) and Ms Kyungah Lee, Trade Officer (Clothing Fashion and Footwear.

The seminar will take place from 10am to 2pm on 25 March 2010 at the City Inn Hotel, Leeds.
