RE:Inventing Business – the International Business and Economy Summit – will return to Sheffield on 18 June for the third year.
Last year’s event attracted a diverse line-up of high-level contributors from government, business and regional economic development to an event that delivered a searching analysis of Sheffield’s economic situation in a global economy.
Held once again at the city centre’s landmark Oval Hall at Sheffield City Hall, the event has also secured the services of Greg Clark, last year’s facilitator and a leading international figure on making cities and regions work.
The conference will be hosted and organised by Sheffield Chamber and divided into two sections, split by a buffet lunch and networking session.
Sheffield Chamber director of business development Paul Reeves said: “We are working with our various partners to ensure this event is a ‘summit’ in the true sense of the word.
“International and high-profile names from a wealth of sectors and countries joined us last year. We expect 2009 to build even further on what was a major event for the Chamber and the city business community in 2008.”
