Sail into South Africa

The first in a series of trade missions linked to the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will be led by the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce to Cape Town, South Africa from 16-20 November 2009.

The mission is sponsored by Yorkshire Forward and the Chamber will be working with the British Consulate General Cape Town to organise a package of high profile networking events to enhance the Yorkshire & Humber region and its businesses.

South Africa is one of the world’s largest economies and has become one of the most promising emerging markets in the world.

Sectors of opportunity identified are:

• Education and skills
• Environment
• Financial services
• Healthcare
• Mining
• Rail

• Ports & logistics
• Sports & leisure

The package of events will include business to business meetings, a mission reception, the opportunity to participate in a corporate sail on the Hull & Humber Clipper and an invitation to your customers and clients to participate.

A travel grant of £800 will be available to eligible companies.
