Passport to Export for Legal Services

Companies working in the legal services sector are invited to a specially tailored Passport to Export workshop.

UK Trade & Investment has developed a training programme specifically to help firms in the legal sector to develop their international business. The programme comprises six key elements:

• A review of where you are now and where you want to get to
• A training and development workshop
• Creation of a strategic plan to develop international business
• One to one mentoring with a specialist adviser
• Specialist market research support
• Funding to help implement your strategy

UKTI has identified that legal activity is becoming increasingly more complex with inward and outward investment, international mergers and acquisitions and increasing concerns about protection of international property. In these challenging times in the UK, there are even more compelling reasons for law firms to seek work from international clients.

The programme begins with an introductory training programme on 30 June, commencing at 1.00pm and finishing with a networking dinner. The training and development programme has been produced in conjunction with the Regional Office of the Law Society in Yorkshire and is fully accredited for six CPD hours.

Passport to Export for Legal Services will take place at Waterton Park Hotel, Walton, Wakefield.
