Build links with China at regional event

Regional organisations are to be offered advice on working with Chinese companies on innovation and technology projects as part of an ongoing ‘China Tomorrow’ initiative.

Following events in London, East Midlands, Wales & Shanghai, Yorkshire Forward is supporting the latest event, ‘Building Innovation Links between the UK and China’, which will address the processes and issues involved in collaborative working.

The event will include:

  • Best practice / dos & don’ts for collaborative working
  • The cross-cultural issues of collaboration
  • IPR and legal considerations
  • Funding opportunities, finding partners and routes to commercialisation
  • Case studies

Senior speakers from China – from the Hunan Science and Technology Department (HSTD), Guangdong Academy of Agriculture Science (GAAS) and Zhongshan Medical School of Sun Yet-Sen University – will provide an informed perspective of the situation ‘on the ground’ in China and details of the opportunities for UK organisations in their respective areas.

The event will take place at The Rose Bowl in Leeds on Thursday 14 November.

For booking information or to register for the event please contact Linda Rosen at China-Britain Business Council either by telephone on 0113 247 1584 or by email at linda.rosen@cbbc.org.
