Passport to Export

What is Passport to Export?

Passport to Export is an assessment and skills based programme that provides new and inexperienced exporters with the training and ongoing support they need to succeed overseas. It is a structured yet flexible programme which most companies complete within 12 months.

Who is it run by?

It is UK Trade & Investment’s flagship programme.

Who is it aimed at?

Small and medium sized enterprises in England who are new to exporting and who seek to develop their strategy for competing in overseas markets.

What are the benefits?

The programme provides a variety of services, including:

  • International Business Review – an objective assessment of a company’s capability to export.
  • Export advice – from local International Trade Teams to help develop and deliver an action plan
  • Quality training – customised to meet the needs identified in your action plan.
  • UK Trade & Investment export services – including market research and foreign language trade literature.
  • Market visit support – to help you visit your potential markets.
  • Ongoing support – helping you continue to develop in international trade.

Participation in the passport programme includes up to £1500 matched funding and access to a range of subsidised services. The workshop is by invitation only via your UK Trade & Investment International Trade Adviser.
